O “Manifesto da Federação Universitária de Córdoba – Da juventude argentina de Córdoba aos homens livres da América do Sul” – documento do qual o trecho acima foi retirado – datado de 21 de junho de 1918, permanece revestido de uma atualidade pungente, exatos 100 anos após sua divulgação. O texto foi escrito durante a movimentação estudantil que irrompeu diante de um modelo de universidade construído por e para as elites hispano-americanas no princípio do século XVII e passou à História como a “Reforma Universitária de 1918”. Reivindicavam os estudantes de antanho, autonomia universitária, liberdade de cátedra, o reconhecimento da importância da pesquisa e a expressão de um compromisso social firmado a partir da Extensão Universitária. O Manifesto de Córdoba é considerado portanto, um marco na história das universidades latinoamericanas.Downloads
